Vered Blass, Ph.D.

 

Dr. Vered Blass has served as an industrial consultant since 1999 in both the United States and Israel, working on various projects including the characterization of information systems, sourcing, and optimization. Over the last 14 years, she has helped organizations develop corporate environmental management strategies, measuring the environmental performance of products and services as well as product end-of-life management strategies. Her academic research focuses on the interface between industrial ecology and management science. Vered holds Ph.D. and M.A. degrees in environmental science and management from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering and management from the Technion — Israel Institute of Technology. She is a senior lecturer at the Porter School of the Environment and Earth Sciences in Tel Aviv University, heading the Innovations in Industrial Ecology Lab. She is involved in collaborative research with scholars from multiple universities in the United States, Europe, and Brazil. She previously served as a member of the Special Advisory Committee to the Israeli Minister of Finance and served on the technical expert group for the UNIDO Green Industry Platform.
